Move Over, Devil's Food Cake!

My lola's birthday cake was delicious. I never thought I would actually like caramel cake 'cause I'm more of a chocolate person, but this was just sooo good! How come I've never heard of Estrel's before? It's definitely a must-try.

Cyberglutton

www.chuvaness.com

I'm getting obsessed with finding something new to crave for online. Just added breadxbread, foodporndaily and sugarnsweets to my Food and Dining bookmarks for my daily online indulgences.

Today I stumbled upon these photos of mouthwatering treats (above) which will be served at a feast we can actually join at Cirkulo Restaurant in Makati--TONIGHT! Check out this Chuvaness blog entry for more information.

I had a little gourmet feast myself last night, care of Chef Kathryn, my other not-so-little sister (from anotha motha) Hahaha. She combined this creamy, buttery sauce with ragu over penne. Mmm-mm. Kat, I swear it didn't taste like beer--it was perfect!

I'm hungry again.

Wow, Isaw!

Nothing in Katipunan beats the delicious street food inside the U.P. campus, which is why my friends and I still take an extra jeepney/car ride for a good food trip at U.P. Chicken isaw at Mang Larry's is one of the things I'm definitely going to miss.

Oh, boy. Even isaw is making me sentimental.

Spars and Sparks

www.freewebs.com

What I loved most about Dawson's Creek was Pacey Witter. I wanted Joey to end up with him, but I always thought the bond he had with Andie was more special, mainly because they had a lot of funny spars, meaningful conversations and positive transformations in the course of their relationship, which showed how much they really clicked and understood each other. Here's one of my many favorite Andie-and-Pacey sparring moments:

Season 2 Episode 6: The Dance
Andie: So, Witter, I hope you have your moves polished and ready 'cause I plan to make a dancing fool out of you.
Pacey: Sorry. No can do, McPhee. I don't dance.
Andie: What do you mean, you don't you dance?
Pacey: Well, it's simple. I don't like it and I'm really not any good at it. I mean, it's bad enough that I'm just going on Saturday night, so don't expect me to get out there and start busting a move 'cause it's just not going to happen.
Andie: You don't dance? You are beyond immature.
Pacey: You're overbearing.
Andie: Boring.
Pacey: Hypersensitive.
Andie: Vulgar.
Pacey: Pick you up at seven?
Andie: Great.

The Secret Garden

I loved this film as a kid. I probably watched it about a hundred times, and I'm not exaggerating!

I wanted to be as brave as Mary. I was a big scaredy-cat back then. Err... Guess I still am!
